Volunteer Graphic Designer

We are looking for a volunteer that’s as passionate about creativity and design as they are about clean oceans. This position will join our small, volunteer team to elevate the current branding and support through creative asset design for all future communications. The Graphic Designer will report to the Marketing Director and is supported by the Marketing Team. Deep Blue Cleanup is a non-government organization working to empower youth through education to decrease plastic pollution.

Responsibilities: 

  • Re-brand Deep Blue Cleanup: new logo design and full brand guide, including colour palettes, fonts, and more

  • Creative asset design for all social media posts, blog posts, educational materials, website, and mobile/ print projects etc. 

  • Ensure designs are on brand and aligned with our mission and vision

  • Brainstorm support for marketing campaigns and educational resources 

  • Be responsible for all design components of the project from initial ideation and refinement through to final deliverables

  • Work collaboratively with team members, and work independently at various stages of a project

Experience/ Qualification: 

  • Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, InDesign, and/ or Illustrator) 

  • An education or working experience in graphic design 

  • Skills in creating designs that are responsive and mobile-friendly

  • Proficiency with Google, Microsoft, etc.

Job Type: Volunteer (remote)

Hours per Month: Minimum 10 hours 

Start date: Immediately
