To empower youth through education to think critically about plastic pollution, and to be the change the world needs.
Our Vision
To provide youth with the tools and resources to realize their current place in the plastic pollution crisis, as well as the knowledge to be able to help decrease plastic pollution.
Core Values
Responsibility and Accountability: We are all responsible for the role we play in the plastic pollution crisis, no matter if you are an individual or a corporation. Taking responsibility and accountability for these actions is key to solving plastic pollution.
Education and Learning: Being excited about educating youth, and excited about educating yourself about plastic pollution. Having a “growth mindset” or an “always learning” mentality is key!
Honesty and Transparency: For our partners, it is important that they are honest and transparent about their role in the plastic pollution crisis. With many corporations abusing the green movement trend, many are simply capitalizing on this trend, rather than helping the environment.
Empathy and Self-Love: “Those who care about the environment, possess love and empathy for themselves, other people, and the Earth.”
Boldness and Advocacy: Speaking out about plastic pollution, whether that be in your household or to your local political leaders, is critical to solving the plastic pollution crisis. Our volunteers, as well as our Deep Blue Heroes and ambassadors, must be passionate advocates!
